Considering that Çukurova Region and Adana are also made up of arable lands, the strategic importance of the agricultural sector should be acted upon with new varieties that will ensure the integration of agriculture with industry as well as high quality, safe and easily accessible products.
In order for Çukurova to maintain its leadership status in agriculture offered by its geopolitical position, regional agricultural incentives should be increased. Research and Development studies on technology and new varieties should be given importance in order to increase product diversity in agriculture and to ensure full integration of agriculture with industry.
We know that countries, regions and cities with strong agriculture and agriculture-based industries are one step ahead of the world. Increasing productivity and industrialization will create a competitive advantage in the regional and global arena. These positive efforts will increase the export figures, decrease the import figures and support the Current Account Deficit pressure on the Gross National Product.
